Presentation: Practical Approach to the Vomiting Patient
Speaker: Dr. Nyssa Levy DVM, MS, DACVECC
This is a RACE-approved meeting.
This meeting is sponsored by NVA and Animal Emergency Hospital
What better to discuss over dinner than everyone’s favorite reason for an emergency visit – the vomiting dog! We will discuss a practical approach to the vomiting patient with clinical cases used to illustrate localization of the problem, and the use of diagnostic imaging including radiographs and ultrasound to help make your diagnosis. We’ll also include a review of the most recent recommendations for nutritional support and gastrointestinal medications.
Please join us for a holiday themed dinner and lecture at the Meijer Gardens, and enjoy the annual Christmas tree display after the meeting. Special gift for all of our referring veterinarians included to show our gratitude and support for all of you!
This will be the last WMVMA meeting of 2019.
Dr Nyssa Levy is an assistant professor of Emergency Medicine and Critical Care at Michigan State, where she loves working in the clinic and teaching vet students. She is originally from Long Island, New York, graduated with her DVM and Masters degrees from Iowa State in 2012, and then moved to Michigan to pursue internship and residency training at MSU. She is now a proud Midwest transplant and loves exploring the Mitten!
This meeting is open to veterinarians only at this time.
