The WMVMA is excited to bring Thomas A. Magnifico, RPh, for a webinar on veterinary pharmacy use!  The presentation will provide a glimpse into the pharmacist’s world. What do most pharmacists know or not know about veterinarians and veterinary medicine, as well as, what are the similarities and differences between veterinary prescriptions and human prescriptions. And because many veterinary prescriptions are compounded, what should a veterinarian look for when choosing a compounding pharmacy.

Tom is an alumnus of the Duquesne University School of Pharmacy in Pittsburgh, PA. His career in pharmacy has encompassed many different aspects of the practice of pharmacy, including health systems and retail.

Currently Tom is employed by Keystone Pharmacy in Grand Rapids, Michigan and serves as the pharmacy’s certified veterinary specialist.  He has had a number of veterinary focused articles published in the Keystone Pharmacy newsletter, Cats and Dogs Magazine, Pharmacy Times, and the MPA and ACVP journals. He has also done continuing education presentations on the subject of veterinary pharmacy at the Michigan Pharmacists Association Annual Convention and Exposition and the ACVP Veterinary Pharmacy Conference.
