About our speaker

Dr. Keith Rohrer received his DVM from The Ohio State University. For more than 30 years he has served as a veterinarian in small animal general practice in southeast Michigan and suburban Chicago. Veterinary practice has allowed him to gain insight into the desires of pet owners for compassionate, quality care for their extended pet families. As an owner and manager, he has acquired skills in managing/educating staff to work cohesively as a team. Dr. Rohrer is looking for important strides in research and development in the veterinary industry over the next few years. He anticipates innovative solutions to existing problems as well as new therapies for emerging diseases. He hopes these achievements will change public perception of the pharmaceutical industry to that of an agent of change for the betterment of animal (and human) health. As a member of the Merck Animal Health Veterinary Professional Services Team, Dr. Rohrer hopes to work in a unified effort—focused on the goal to provide educated advice and prompt awareness of new learnings—to help customers achieve greater success and profitability.
