Topic : "Approach to Uveitis in Dogs and Cats as a General Practitioner"

Dr. Katelin Quantz will be speaking to us about uveitis in dogs and cats. Uveitis is a common ocular disease in companion animal species that may be associated with serious systemic disease and has the potential to cause vision-threatening complications. In this presentation, we will review the diagnosis, work-up, and management of uveitis in canine and feline patients.

  • This meeting is open to veterinarians only, limit 60 with a wait list thereafter
  • Location: New Holland Brewery, The Knickerbocker (417 Bridge Street NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504)
  • 7pm - 8:30pm
  • Meeting will be held upstairs
  • Parking: Side street parking or there is a parking lot one block south south of Bridge Street and the restaurant; 301 Mount Vernon Ave NW, GR. Entrance on Douglas or Mt Vernon

About our speaker:

Dr. Katelin Quantz is an ACVO (American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists) board-certified veterinarian.

Originally from northern Indiana, Dr. Quantz attended Purdue University for undergraduate studies and received early admission to Purdue University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. It was during veterinary school that Dr. Quantz discovered her passion for ophthalmology and began the journey toward specialization. Upon graduation she completed a rotating internship, followed by a four-year residency in comparative ophthalmology at Michigan State University. Dr. Quantz is dedicated to improving vision and quality of life for her patients. Within the field of ophthalmology, Dr. Quantz is particularly interested in corneal disease, cataract surgery, and glaucoma. Outside of work she enjoys hiking, traveling, exploring new restaurants and coffee shops, and spending time with her family and two dogs, Fynn and Stella.
