We are excited for our next webinar! Note: This program has been submitted for RACE approval (however, is not yet approved) for 1.0 hours of continuing education credit in jurisdictions which recognize RACE approval. To receive this credit, once approved, it MUST be watched live  to receive RACE credit for attendance. (It can be watched anytime after, but will not be reported to RACE.)

About the event topic:

Studies have shown that rudeness in medicine isn’t just unpleasant, it’s downright dangerous. Learn how concerned you should be, and what we should be doing instead.

Learning Objectives:

1. Describe the negative impact of incivility on patient care

2. Describe what psychology safety is and is not

3. Describe the positive impact of psychological safety on patient care

4. Name 3 ways to improve psychological safety in healthcare

About our speaker:

Dr. Cyndie Courtney is a small animal veterinarian and recovering toxic team member. She speaks, writes, and consults internationally using peer-reviewed research and real-life experiences to improve individual/organizational performance/wellbeing by addressing workplace conflict.

She was awarded the World Small Animal Veterinary Medical Association’s Next Generation Award in 2019 and her veterinary alma mater’s Outstanding Recent Alumni Award in 2021 for her service to the profession

She is certified in Stakeholder Centered Coaching. She has additional training in conflict mediation from the Kansas Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution, in non-violent communication CNVC certified trainer Oren Jay Sofer, and holds certifications in Workplace Wellness and Healthcare Workplace Violence Prevention and Awareness.
