Dr. Tammy Sadek’s presentation, Personal Finances for the Veterinary Profession, provides a practical roadmap to building financial stability and long-term wealth in a profession that often has a complicated relationship with money. She explores the emotional side of financial decision-making, common income and spending challenges in veterinary medicine, and core principles such as spending less than you earn, paying yourself first, automating savings, and maximizing employer retirement matches. The session also addresses student loan strategies, debt management, investing versus saving, insurance and estate planning basics, and how to align financial choices with personal values and life goals. Attendees leave with clear, actionable steps to reduce financial stress, strengthen their future security, and intentionally design the life they want.

About Our Speaker: 

Tammy P. Sadek, DVM, DABVP (Feline), is a veterinarian and financial educator dedicated to helping veterinary professionals build confidence in their personal finances. A board-certified feline specialist and past leader within the Feline Veterinary Medical Association, Dr. Sadek brings firsthand understanding of the financial challenges facing veterinarians and veterinary teams. She currently serves as an Investment Advisor Representative with Academy Wealth Management, where she focuses on practical, goal-driven strategies for budgeting, investing, debt management, and long-term financial planning tailored to the veterinary profession.
